My vacuum ate the charging cord and the fix was hiding in my junk drawer
Saturday morning my vacuum sucked up its own charging cord and chewed the end to bare wires before I got it unplugged. I stood there holding this frayed cord thinking I'd have to order a new one, but then I remembered the box of old cords I never throw out. Dug through it for 20 minutes and found a cord from a dead laptop with the right connector on one end, so I spliced them together with a couple wire nuts and taped it up good. It's been running fine for 4 days now and it cost me nothing but a little time. What do you all keep in your junk box for moments like this?
