Binder clips beat cable ties for my desk tangles, found out after 3 months of frustration
I kept a rats nest of phone chargers and headphone wires under my monitor in Boise, then tried clipping each cord to the edge of my desk with those black 1-inch clips from the office supply aisle, and now I can swap out a cable in like 10 seconds without unthreading anything, has anyone else tried something this dumb simple?
Oh wow, this is such a good idea. I read a post on a home office blog a while back about using binder clips for cable control and I kind of brushed it off at the time, but hearing it actually worked for you makes me want to try it. My husband has a drawer full of those clips from his old office job, so I could test it out without spending a dime. The 10 second swap part is what really sells me, because unthreading cords is the worst.
