Shoutout to the 14 guys who showed up to my shop's open house in Boise last Saturday
I've been running a two man cabinet shop for 9 years and last Saturday I finally opened the doors to other trades guys just to talk shop and drink coffee. I figured maybe 3 or 4 would roll through. 14 showed up, including a guy who drove 2 hours from Twin Falls with a dovetail jig he wanted to swap ideas on. We ended up arguing for an hour about whether a 3/8 inch reveal still looks right on shaker doors or if it's dated now. That number shocked me because it tells me there's a real hunger for this stuff in person, not just on forums. Any of you ever tried hosting something like that in your area, and did anyone actually show?
