Saw a guy in a Facebook group say dovetails are obsolete with modern joinery equipment

I read this post from a guy in Atlanta who claimed dovetails are a waste of time because domino joiners and biscuits are better now. He said he hasn't cut a dovetail in 10 years and his work looks just as good. Am I the only one who thinks he's missing the point of why we do certain joinery in the first place?

Used to agree with him but seeing dovetails up close changed my mind.

@verab28 nope, joinery shortcuts lose the craftsmanship that makes woodwork last generations.
