My clamp broke mid-glue up on a $2,200 custom kitchen job yesterday

Had a 20 year old Jorgensen bar clamp snap right at the handle while I was pressing a mitered panel together, ruining the joint and wasting half an hour of setup. Anybody else have a tool fail at the worst possible moment and how did you fix it?

Jorgensens were never the same after they moved production to China.

My uncle still uses a set of Jorgensens from the 80s and they work great, @william917. I get that the new ones might feel a little different but honestly the clamps I've borrowed from Home Depot lately have been fine for weekend projects. People act like a slightly looser screw on a clamp is the end of the world or something.
