Just realized I was measuring drawer fronts from the wrong face for 4 years
I was fitting inset drawers in a kitchen remodel outside Omaha and the gaps kept coming out uneven no matter how careful I was. Then it hit me: I was pulling my measurements from the outside face of the drawer box, not the finished front, so every calculation was off by the overlay thickness. Has anyone else had a basic setup mistake that took you way too long to notice?
So you spent 4 years messing up drawer gaps and just now figured it out? That's a pretty basic thing to miss, but honestly, was it really ruining your life or just annoying? Seems like you fixed it fast enough.
