I finally had a drawer front split on install day, and now I'm second-guessing my whole glue-up routine
Had a maple drawer front crack right at the rail joint last Tuesday on a kitchen job in Boise, after the finish was already on. I clamped it back and it held, but the client saw the seam and now I'm wondering if I should've pinned it or just used a different joint from the start. Some guys say glue alone is plenty if your fit is tight, others won't send anything out the door without a mechanical fastener. What's your call on this?
