Back in 2012, I was finishing a big built-in for a house in Tacoma and my dado stack just... stopped. Mid-cut.

Ugh, that's the worst. Read a forum post once where a guy's dado just seized solid from resin buildup. Could be that, or maybe the arbor nut just worked itself loose?

Resin buildup is a real killer. I had a stacked dado set lock up on me last year, and it was a mess. Took me an hour with mineral spirits and a brass brush to get it all cleaned out. The arbor nut coming loose is another good guess, that'll make a horrible noise and leave a terrible cut. Always worth checking both before you run it again.
