Walked through a flipped house in Nashville and it sold me on avoiding the flips
I was out looking at homes with my realtor last Saturday and we stopped at this renovated place near East Nashville. Sticker price was $385k which seemed like a steal compared to everything else. But as we walked through, I noticed the fresh paint was hiding some rough corners and the tile in the bathroom was already lifting by the shower. The agent mentioned it was a flip that took 6 weeks from purchase to listing. That number stuck with me. My buddy does drywall and he said no quality work happens that fast. I told my realtor to scratch flips off the list entirely. Now I'm focusing on older homes that need work but have solid bones. Anyone else walk through a flip and just get a bad gut feeling about the shortcuts?
