Old realtor told me I was overthinking curb appeal
My realtor for my first house hunt in Austin kept saying I was too hung up on fresh paint and new grass, she told me "buyers remember the feeling of the front door knob more than the lawn." Turns out she was right, I ignored a house with peeling siding because the porch felt right and it ended up being the best deal I found. Anyone else had a piece of advice stick with you way longer than you expected?

Ha, I feel that. I once spent three weekends painting my front door only to realize the light fixture was crooked and nobody even noticed the paint. Guess I was just polishing the doorknob while the house laughed at me.
