Just hit 40 showings before making an offer - that's way more than I expected

I figured 10-15 showings would be enough to know what I wanted, but it took 40 before I finally felt right about one house. Has anyone else gone through way more viewings than they planned?

Oh man, 40 showings? I was starting to feel bad about my 25, guess I was being a slacker! At that point you basically know every squeaky floorboard and weird light switch in town.
