Just finished a home inspection in Austin and the seller had hidden a crack in the foundation with carpet

I was looking at a cute 3 bedroom in South Austin last week and everything seemed fine until I pulled up a corner of the living room carpet. There was a massive 4 foot crack running right across the slab, and the seller had just shoved some throw rugs over it. Has anyone else dealt with sellers trying to hide big problems like this?

Man that really SUCKS, shady sellers like that make house hunting so stressful.

@cameron_chen63 yeah totally, it's like you gotta triple check every single listing now. i had a guy last year who posted a house that said "new roof" but it was literally patched with duct tape in some spots. people are nuts out here.
