Home inspector caught a hidden mold patch in an attic in Austin that my realtor said 'wasn't a big deal'
I drove 4 hours to see a house in Austin last Tuesday and the inspector found black mold behind a fresh coat of paint in the attic that the seller's agent talked me out of checking and now I'm wondering how many other people just signed off on that same trick.

Good for you for catching that. Same thing happened to my cousin in Dallas last year.

Yeah but I gotta push back a little here. Just because one person had a bad experience doesn't mean it's the same deal across the board. Dallas has totally different rules than where I live and I've seen stuff work out fine when people actually read the fine print. Maybe your cousin just got a bad agent or didn't check all the documents close enough. What was the main issue they ran into?
