A realtor in Greenville said something about the attic I'll never forget

We were looking at a house built in the 1970s, and I asked about the insulation up there. She just pointed at the access panel and said, 'Honey, if you see a pink cloud when you open that, just close it and walk away.' She meant old, disturbed fiberglass, but the way she said it was so vivid. It made me think about all the hidden stuff you don't see on a walkthrough. Has anyone else gotten a weirdly memorable piece of advice from an agent?

The ones about "good bones" always hide foundation cracks.

Yeah, the "good bones" line gets me. A friend bought a house last year that was praised for its good bones. They found out the charming original windows were basically glued shut with paint, the floor joists in the dining room were totally rotten, and the "character" plumbing needed a full re-pipe. That phrase cost them an extra sixty grand easy.
