Two years to find a flashlight that survives my work truck
I kept killing $30 lights every few weeks hauling gear around Austin, so I started logging failures. After 14 dead units and a lot of reading, I finally got one that's lasted 11 months so far. Anyone else tracking their gear failures like this or am I just extra petty?

14 dead units" is nothing, I respect the tracking though. I did something similar with work gloves for a while, but I gave up after I realized I was just losing them instead of wearing them out. One time I found a pair I thought I lost in the back of a drawer six months later, and they were still in perfect shape. That kinda broke my whole data set, so I just went back to buying whatever's on sale. Good on you for sticking with the flashlight log though, that's some real dedication.
