Showerthought: my $12 cast iron from a flea market in Tulsa beats the $150 nonstick pan I babied for 2 years
I picked up a rusty old skillet for $12 at a Tulsa flea market back in 2019 and just cooked with it again tonight, while the fancy nonstick pan I bought new started flaking after about 2 years of careful use. The iron just keeps going no matter how bad I treat it, and the nonstick was done the second the coating wore off. Anyone else find that cheap old stuff outlives the pricey new gear?
