Wasted $60 on a cheap boning knife I had to replace in a month

I bought a no-name boning knife off Amazon for about $60 thinking I was saving money over the German brands. The steel was so soft the edge rolled after just a few pork shoulders, and the handle started wobbling by week three. I ended up buying a Victorinox for $45 after that and it's been solid for six months now. Anyone else learn the hard way that cheap tools cost more in the long run?

And that's why you don't cheap out on knives.

My friend nearly lost a finger on a cheap Walmart knife last month.
