Threw away $80 on a 'pro' boning knife that couldn't hold an edge
Bought a Messermeister Meridian Elite boning knife at a local shop in Denver last month because the sales guy talked it up like crazy. After two weeks of breaking down chickens, the edge was toast and I had to sharpen it every single day. My old $40 Victorinox outlasts it easy. Anyone else get burned by a pricey knife that couldn't hack it?

Did you try returning it? A good store would take back a knife that won't hold an edge. That's a lot of cash for a dud.

My last return was a spatula that bent on toast, so I'm not the best person to ask about refunds.
