Band saw causing burn marks on bone-in pork, any fixes?

I got a new band saw for the shop last month. When I cut bone-in pork chops, it leaves small burn marks on the bone. The blade is sharp and I go at a steady pace. Should I change the blade tension or switch to a different blade?

My buddy had the exact same problem with his new saw. He was using a fine-tooth blade for clean cuts, but that just built up heat on the bones. Switched to a skip-tooth blade and slowed his feed way down, and the burn marks stopped completely.

But fine blades can still work great if you just adjust your cutting speed instead.

Remembered my friend trying to cut some thick oak with a fine blade, said it was smoking like crazy. He argued with @lisa_hart about speed at first, but finally listened and slowed his feed to a crawl. Still got burns, so he swapped to a skip-tooth like your buddy. The difference was night and day, just clean cuts after that.
