Turns out my power bank's 10,000mAh rating was a lie, found the real number on the label

Charged my phone off a cheap bank for months, then spotted fine print saying it's 6,500mAh at 5V. Made me check all my other banks and two of them were worse. Anyone else been burned by the mAh math on budget ones?

...so my buddy Dave bought this supposedly 20,000mAh monster for camping trips. Charged his phone like twice and it was dead. He kept blaming his phone's battery. Then one day he actually read the back of the thing and it said 12,000mAh at 5V which is basically half what the front of the box promised. The worst part is the fine print was in like gray on gray, you'd never see it unless you were looking for it. He took it back to the store and the guy just shrugged and said they're all like that. Now he keeps a little sticky note on it with the real number so he doesn't get fooled again. Honestly at this point I just assume any cheap bank is lying to me and buy for double what I actually need.
