Saw a mangled USB-C cord zip-tied to the table at a Pancake House off I-80 in Nebraska
Stopped for breakfast at a place near Kearney last Saturday and the booth had a charging cable bolted down for customers. The plug end was bent at almost 90 degrees and the plastic housing had a crack held together with electrical tape. I asked the server about it and she said a guy yanked his phone off the table while standing up, and it had been like that for 3 months. She also said two other cables got stolen in that time. They just keep buying the $4 ones from a bin at the gas station next door. It made me think about how many of my own cables died from that same yank move. Anyone else guilty of wrecking a cord by walking away with the phone still plugged in?
