My 3-year-old cable outlived its own spec sheet

Bought a no-name USB-C cable from a gas station in Reno, 2019. It still fast charges my phone, but the other day I saw the packaging said max 1.5A, so now I'm scared it's secretly melting my battery. Anyone else have a cable that technically should have failed ages ago but just won't die?

Honestly that cable is a warrior, but maybe swap it before your phone becomes a marshmallow.
