Bought a $9 gas station USB-C cable as a joke for a 14 hour haul, it outlasted my $30 one
Grabbed a cheap cable at a Pilot in Effingham, Illinois when my nice braided one died on mile 300 of a 700 mile run. Figured it would fry in a week. That thing is still charging my phone 5 months later while the brand name one is in the trash. The braided one broke at the strain relief, same spot they always go. Did I just get lucky, or is there actually no point paying extra for these?
