Bought a 65W GaN charger, got a 15W paperweight instead

Spent $42 on a compact GaN charger from a brand I'd never heard of on Amazon, and it died after exactly 11 days of light use with my tablet. The listing said 65W but the actual output barely charged my laptop before shutting off, and the seller just stopped replying to my messages. Anyone else get burned by these no-name chargers, or am I the only one who should've just stuck with the brick that came in the box?

Saw a teardown video on YouTube last week, they cracked open a bunch of these cheap GaN units. The guts are mostly fake, tiny heatsinks and off-brand chips that can't handle real wattage. They slap a 65W label on a board that's barely 20W capable. Sellers know most people won't test the actual output with a meter until it's too late. Amazon's return window is your only real friend here, so file a claim before it closes. These brands pop up, collect money for a month, then vanish and rebrand. Lesson learned, stick with Anker or even a good used original brick.
