Update: fixed our office WiFi dead zone with a $20 powerline kit, not a $600 mesh setup
We run a small print shop in Boise and the back room where our label printer lives had zero signal. I got quotes for a mesh system and one guy wanted $600 plus install. Instead I grabbed a TP-Link powerline adapter kit off the shelf for $20. Plugged one unit into the wall near the router and the other near the printer, ran one ethernet cable, done. That was three months ago and we haven't dropped a single label job since. My question is whether anyone here has pushed a powerline kit across a bigger building, like 8,000 square feet or more, or does it fall apart past a certain distance?
