PSA: Watch what the installer does at your shop, not what the sales rep promises
I run a small cabinet shop in Waco and had a fiber rep come out in March promising 500 Mbps for $189 a month with a 3 year lock. He left, and I stood in the back room watching the actual installer run the line, and he told me point blank the "dedicated" circuit was shared with the whole strip mall because nobody wanted to pay for a real drop. Two weeks in, we were getting 40 Mbps on a Tuesday afternoon and my uploads of shop drawings kept timing out. Turned out the sales contract said "up to" 500 and the shared line was all the building could get without a $4,000 buildout I was never quoted. If you are signing a business line, ask the guy with the ladder what the last mile actually looks like. What did your installer tell you that the rep never mentioned?
