DAE's ISP tell them their business needs a dedicated line when a 300/300 fiber plan handles 40 devices easy?
I run a 12 person office in Boise and our old provider kept pushing a $600 a month dedicated line, saying shared fiber would choke once we hit 20 devices. We switched to a $99 300/300 plan six months ago and our POS, video calls, and cloud backup all run smooth with 40 devices on it. Is the dedicated line thing mostly a scare tactic, or is there a real cutoff where shared fiber starts to fall apart?
