Unpopular opinion: Ditching my habit tracker actually helped me be more consistent
I started bullet journaling 6 months ago and had a perfect color coded habit tracker for things like drinking water and exercise. But after a week of skipping it because I felt guilty about missing a day, I noticed I was actually doing the habits less just to avoid filling in empty boxes. Has anyone else found that tracking habits backfires on you?

Wait doesn't tracking turn habits into chores you have to fail at? I dropped mine too and suddenly started drinking water just because I wanted to. The pressure was making me avoid the whole thing honestly.

My friend Sarah tried that water tracking app for 2 weeks and ended up chugging a whole bottle right before bed just to hit her number, then woke up 3 times that night. @parker_bell you're totally right, she said it felt like homework instead of just living.
