Tried a weekly spread with no boxes just a line for each day...

I drew a single straight line for Monday through Sunday with no boxes or grids in my bullet journal last week. My tasks ran together and I couldn't tell where one day ended and the next started by Thursday afternoon. Has anyone else found a minimalist layout that actually keeps things separated?

I actually saw this weird tip from some productivity blogger named Claire something who said to draw a tiny line in a different color for each day of the week. She used four different colors on the same line and it looked messy but honestly it worked. I tried it with just two colors blue for Monday through Wednesday and green for the rest and that visual break at the halfway point saved me from losing track. The key she said was making the transition point obvious like a small dot or a short vertical dash so your brain registers a shift. Without that color change or some kind of marker you're just scanning a straight unbroken line which is basically useless by day three.

Wait, you just drew a line for each day but didn't mark a clear start or end point? That's basically just a timeline, not a daily layout at all. I see this mistake a lot where people think minimal means just drawing a single line across the page. Next time, try drawing a short vertical hash mark at the beginning of each day's line. It's still super minimal but your eye can actually tell where one day stops and the next starts. I've been doing a plain line with a tiny dot at the morning point and a bigger dot at night to show the boundary. Works way better than just a continuous line running together.
