TIL why testing ink before highlights is a must

I tried to add watercolor accents to my bullet journal spread last week. My go-to pen bled and smudged all over the page. It completely ruined my weekly plan and mood tracker. I had to start that section over from scratch, which was a huge pain. Now I always do a quick test on the back page with any pen and medium I plan to use. Seriously, take a minute to check or you might waste a lot of work. It's a simple step that saves so much trouble.
