Spent 3 days fixing my index because I used the wrong pen

Ngl I thought I was being smart using a fine tip Sharpie for my future log. Looked great for like 2 days, then it bled through 5 pages of my Leuchtturm. Had to rewrite everything, then the ghosting made half my entries unreadable. Took me a whole weekend to redo September through December. Has anyone else wrecked a whole month with a bad pen choice?

The thing is, Sharpies are alcohol based and not meant for fountain pen friendly paper like Leuchtturms. I use a regular ballpoint for my future log and never had bleeding or ghosting issues. Different pens work for different paper types, so maybe the pen wasn't the wrong one, just the wrong combo with that notebook.

Quinn's got a point about the combos. A Sharpie on Leuchtturm is a recipe for disaster, no question. I tried a similar thing once with a gel pen and a cheap notebook, bleeded right through. It's all about matching the pen to the paper, not just blaming the notebook. Different tools for different jobs, that's the real lesson here.
