Rant: That minimalist monthly spread I spent 4 hours on
Look, I get it. Everyone loves those clean monthly logs with the perfect handwriting and those little corner doodles. But I tried it last month in Chicago. Thursday the 12th got rained out and the ink bled through three pages. Then I missed a dentist appointment because the whole thing just blended into white noise. I'm going back to my messy daily rapid logging. It works. Has anyone else quit the fancy layouts for just functional trackers?

Killed three pens trying to copy those perfect headers and ended up with a page that looks like a toddler's art project. Back to scribbling dates in a corner like a normal person.

Honestly, YES. I spent like five hours on a fancy monthly spread once and the next day I spilled coffee on it and it smeared into this brown blob where the 15th was supposed to be. Tbh the whole thing just stressed me out more than it helped. Ngl I'm fully back to using a plain dot grid and writing dates in a messy circle, it just works and I don't have to worry about perfect lines anymore. Yeah the aesthetic is cool in theory but in practice my life is way too chaotic for that level of planning.
