Question about switching from a monthly log to a weekly spread
I used a traditional monthly log for about 8 months last year because I liked the simplicity. But after missing two deadlines in a row back in February, I decided to try a weekly spread instead. What convinced me was seeing a friend's bujo where she blocked out time for each task on her weekly pages. Now I can see my whole week at a glance without flipping pages, and it's helped me plan better. Has anyone else found that weekly spreads work better for tracking deadlines than monthly ones?

Heard a productivity expert on a podcast say our brains process visual blocks of time way better than lists of dates. That weekly layout with time blocking sounds exactly like what he was describing. Might be worth trying if you're into that kind of structure.

Guess it depends on how much you overthink your calendar.

Exactly 23 minutes into a calendar setup video I watched last week (and yeah I counted) the guy showed how visual blocks cut down on decision fatigue. @leo238 your podcast guest was spot on. Seeing a solid rectangle for "deep work" or a half block for "errands" makes me actually follow through instead of just scanning a list. Lists feel like suggestions to me, but blocking feels like a commitment. It's weird how a simple shape can trick your brain into action.
