My sister said my bullet journal looked like a 'to-do list graveyard'

She saw my January spread with all the empty trackers and said it just made her feel bad. It made me think maybe I'm setting up pages I'll never actually use. How do you decide what trackers are worth keeping?

Oh no, that comment from your sister would sting for sure! I think a lot of us have been there with the whole tracker thing where you get super excited about tracking water or mood and then... nothing happens after week two. It is really easy to feel bad about empty spaces in a journal because it feels like a failure of willpower or planning. The thing that helped me was to only keep trackers for things I already do every single day without fail, like brushing my teeth or taking my meds. If I have to remember to do something in order to track it, it almost never works out. Maybe try keeping just one or two trackers for a month and see if they actually help you feel good rather than guilty.

Those empty spaces are proof you tried things, not failure...
