My friend told me to stop drawing my weekly spreads ahead of time

She said it would make my bullet journal feel like a chore instead of a tool. I tried it for a month and just ended up with blank pages on busy weeks. Now I go back to drawing them on Sunday nights while watching TV. What do you do to keep your weekly setup from getting in the way?

I feel you on the blank pages. My own journal is basically a museum of my best intentions. What works for you?

Yeah, I actually find that drawing ahead helps me use my journal more! When I'm busy, having the structure already there means I can just jot things down fast. I get what @margaret_bennett3 is saying about blank pages, but for me a blank page is what makes it feel like a chore to start. Setting it up while I relax on Sunday makes the whole week feel smoother.

But the blank pages just stress me out MORE.
