My fix for when my daily log felt too crowded

I was putting all my tasks, notes, and random thoughts into my daily log pages. It got so packed that I started to avoid opening my journal. After a few days of feeling stuck, I looked up some ideas on a forum. Someone suggested keeping a separate 'brain dump' page for everything that pops up. I gave it a shot by adding a new page at the back of my journal. Now, I only move the most important tasks to my daily log. This made my daily spreads clean and easy to read. I actually look forward to using my bullet journal again.

Did you ever think about splitting your journal by topic instead of just adding pages? I tried to track my mood and my budget in the same notebook, and it turned into a confusing jumble. I couldn't find anything quickly, so I stopped writing in it for a week. Finally, I grabbed an old notebook and dedicated one to feelings and one to money stuff. Now, each book feels focused, and I actually use both. Maybe the trick isn't just where you put things, but giving each thought its own space?

Seriously @angela899, I tried two journals once and lost both.

Ugh, losing journals is the worst feeling. I get that. It makes you not even want to start a new one because what's the point if it's just gonna vanish? Angela's idea about splitting by topic is smart, but honestly, my brain needs one single place to dump everything or I forget to use the other books. Maybe the real trick is just using the cheapest notebook you can find so it hurts less if it gets left on a bus.
