Just read that the original bullet journal method only uses three symbols. I've been overcomplicating mine for months.

My friend Sam had a whole page of symbols. She cut it down to four and it finally works.

Hold up, sometimes more symbols are better though. Like if you're trying to show a complex process, four little icons might not tell the whole story. A customer might see a simple symbol and totally miss a key step or warning. I mean, maybe it works for Sam's specific thing, but cutting down that much could make things less clear for other people.
