I used to be a track everything person now I just write down tasks

I started bullet journaling like 4 years ago and I had all these color coded spreads for mood, water intake, sleep hours, even how many pages I read each day. It looked pretty but honestly I spent more time setting up the layouts than actually doing the stuff I was tracking. Last month I just gave up on all that extra stuff and now my bujo is literally just a list of tasks for the day with a few notes. I use one pen, no washi tape, no fancy headers. It feels way less stressful and I actually get more done because I'm not avoiding my journal. Has anyone else dumped their habit trackers and felt better about it?

Ditch the fancy stuff and you'll actually use the dang thing.

Oh man, that's exactly what happened to my buddy Dave! He bought this crazy expensive espresso machine with all these dials and steam wands and a built-in grinder. After two weeks of messing with it and making a huge mess on his counter, he gave up and went back to his old $20 French press.
