I finally gave up on fancy weekly spreads after 2 years of wasting my Sundays
I used to spend a solid hour every Sunday night drawing out a full weekly spread with boxes and little icons and washi tape, and I hated every minute of it but kept doing it because that's what all the bujo videos showed. Then one week in October I just didn't do it, and honestly my journal worked fine without it. Now I do a two minute setup on Monday morning with just a date line, my three top tasks, and a running list of stuff I need to remember. It takes maybe 90 seconds and I actually use the thing instead of being scared to mess up the pretty page. The weird part is I journal way more now than when I was spending an hour a week on layouts. I think the fancy spreads were me avoiding the actual work of keeping a journal. So what is your bare bones setup, and did it take you a while to get there like it did for me?
