I color coded my whole November spread and lost an hour of my life trying to find one blue pen
So I was sitting at my kitchen table in Tacoma on a Sunday night, three days before November started, and I decided my monthly spread needed a full color code. Blue for work, green for workouts, orange for errands, purple for family stuff. I got about two weeks filled in and realized I only own one blue pen that actually matches the shade I used, and it had rolled under the couch. Here is the debate I keep having with myself. Side one says a color code makes everything readable at a glance and I should just buy a second blue pen and move on. Side two says a system that breaks the second you lose one pen is a bad system, and I should switch to plain black with little symbols instead. I ended up digging the pen out from under the couch, finishing the spread, and then the blue ran out of ink by the 18th anyway. What do you all do when your color code depends on one specific pen, keep a backup or ditch the colors?
