I found that using washi tape and just ripping it in straight lines helped me get cleaner edges on my spreads. For @the_seth, maybe try using a ruler to lightly score where you want the tape to go before you stick it down. I messed up so many pages before I figured out that trick, it really makes the difference between a messy look and something that feels intentional.
