Forgot my bullet journal at work and had to wing it for 3 days
Last Wednesday I left my journal at the nurses station after my shift. I panicked because my whole week was in there including my med schedule and habit tracker. Ended up using a random sticky note and the notes app on my phone to keep track. Honestly it kind of worked but I missed the feel of crossing things off. Has anyone else had to improvise without your journal for a few days?

Isn't it funny how we get so used to one system that we feel lost without it? I've noticed this pattern with a lot of stuff lately, like how people freak out if they forget their phone for a day, or can't find their favorite coffee mug in the morning. We build these little routines around things that help us feel in control, and when they're gone, our brains scramble for a second. It's like training wheels for our day. Once you realize you can still balance without them, it's actually a good reminder that you're more flexible than you think.

Honestly @matthew_owens9 hits the nail on the head with this one. Tbh I see the same thing with how people get so attached to their morning commute playlist or that specific podcast they listen to on the way to work. Ngl it's kind of freeing when something breaks that routine and you realize you can still get through the day just fine without all those little crutches.
