Finally stuck with one journal layout for 4 months straight

I used to switch systems every few weeks - bujo, hobonichi, back to bujo. But last February in my kitchen I just drew a simple weekly spread with a ruler and it stuck. Anyone else find that the MOST basic layouts are the ones that actually work?

Did your old systems actually not work, or were you just bored with them?

Oh, 'bored with them'... that hit close to home. It wasn't really that my old setup wasn't working, it was just... stale, you know? Like, I'd spend more time tweaking and fighting with it than actually getting stuff done. I'd even find myself making excuses to not use it, which is a bad sign. So yeah, I was probably just bored and looking for something that felt fresh and actually useful.
