Figured out a hack for habit tracking at my dentist's office

Sat in the waiting room last week staring at their wall calendar. Got the idea to put my monthly tracker on a small whiteboard I keep on my fridge. Anyone else use non-notebook items to track stuff?

Why would you want to stare at a whiteboard every day though? Seems like another chore to remember instead of just building a simple routine.

Notice how we've turned everything into another app or system to manage when really we're just trying to outsmart our own brains. Maybe we need to stop treating memory like a problem to solve with fancy tools and just accept that forgetting stuff is part of being human. The whiteboard works for some people because it's physical and in your face, but yeah it can easily become just another thing on your to-do list if you're not careful.
