Changed my tune on bullet journaling for closet cleanouts
I always thought planning it in my bujo was extra. Jotting down steps for my recent purge kept me focused and actually made it fun.

You called planning it "extra" but that's the part I find actually saves time. When I just start pulling clothes out, I get stuck on every single choice. Writing "keep, donate, trash" as columns first means I'm just sorting into pre-made buckets. It turns a big fuzzy job into a simple matching game.

Honestly that planning step just feels like making more work up front to me, @charlesj46. I get stuck way more if I set up all those categories first and start overthinking them. I just have to dive in and make quick choices as I go.

My closet cleanup last month was a total mess, lol. I just started pulling stuff out and got stuck on every choice. Then I tried writing keep, donate, and trash on separate bags. It made everything so much faster, like a matching game. I ended up with three piles in under an hour. That planning step really does save time, no doubt about it.
