Am I the only one who ditched monthly spreads for a single running task list?

Everyone in this group seems to love making detailed monthly calendars with trackers and everything. I tried that for 3 months back in January and hated flipping pages just to check what's due. Now I just have one long list in my journal with dates scribbled next to each task. It's way less pretty but actually works for me in real life in Chicago. Anyone else prefer messy over fancy?

Oh come on, it's not that deep. People act like picking a planner system is some life altering choice. You write stuff down so you don't forget it. That's it. If a running list works for you in Chicago, great. If someone else needs color coded monthly spreads to feel organized, also fine. Neither one is morally superior. I tried the fancy monthly thing once too and spent more time drawing boxes than actually doing tasks. Now I just keep a sticky note on my desk and cross things off with a sharpie. Works the same. Let's all calm down about our notebooks.

Honestly the real flex is finding a system you actually stick with for more than a week.
