Spent 3 weekends fixing up a $40 curbside dresser and now my wife wants me to do the whole bedroom set
Pulled a solid wood dresser off the curb in our neighborhood 3 Saturdays ago, it had water rings and one drawer that wouldn't slide. I sanded it down with 120 then 220 grit, patched a cracked leg with wood glue and a clamp, and hit it with 3 coats of wipe on poly. Total cost was about $22 in supplies since I already had the sandpaper and glue. My wife saw it finished and now she's pulling up Facebook Marketplace listings for a matching nightstand and headboard. Has anyone here drawn the line on a furniture flip before it turns into a whole room project?

My sister went down this road last year... one free table turned into her redoing the whole dining room and she still isn't done. There's something about a good flip that makes people want the matching set, but you gotta decide if you're a guy who fixes one thing or a guy who signs up for a whole hobby. Maybe pick the nightstand and call it there before the headboard turns into a bed frame.
