My uncle said skip the prebuilt and build my own PC, and I finally get why after 3 dead RAM sticks
My uncle Dave has been building PCs since the 90s and kept telling me to stop buying prebuilts off the shelf. I ignored him for 2 builds and then last month my $1100 rig from a big box store died, and the RAM was soldered in so I could not even swap it. I built my own from parts I picked out at Micro Center in Dallas for about $750 and swapping a dead stick took me 4 minutes. Anyone else had a prebuilt bite them like that, or am I just unlucky?
