Walked into Micro Center and a kid working there asked if I needed help with my "retro build" because of the case I was holding

I was just grabbing a Fractal North case for a new office PC, not some vintage rig, and this teenager made me feel like I was digging up a fossil. Has anyone else been mistaken for building something old just because you don't want a fish tank with RGB fans?

Honestly never thought about it that way but @sanchez.mia makes a solid point about frame of reference.

Hear me out on this one. Kids call anything that isn't a tempered glass side panel with a million fans "retro" these days. I wouldn't take it personally, they just don't have a frame of reference for what a real retro build actually looks like. The Fractal North is a nice looking case but it does have that wood and metal thing going on that probably read as "grandpa's desk" to a 19 year old. It's barely worth getting annoyed over, just part of getting older in this hobby I suppose.
