Vent: is a clean front panel worth losing airflow for? My 3 year debate continues

Oh man, this debate is my whole life. I spent two weeks staring at my own rig trying to decide if I wanted a dust-free unicorn or a room heater. Ended up with a mesh front that collects cat hair like a lint roller and my friends make fun of me for having a "dust bunny farm" instead of a PC. At this point I'm convinced my fans are just pretty paperweights and my CPU is secretly a space heater in disguise. So yeah, clean front panel means silent suffering while your parts slowly roast.

Oh boy, you nailed it. I went the opposite route and got a solid glass front panel because it looked clean in the pictures. Now my GPU idles at 50 degrees and I have to run my case open like some kind of caveman just to play anything that's not Minesweeper. Those pretty paperweights you mentioned are at least doing something, my fans are just decorative noise makers.
